Media Laboratory Mission

The Media Laboratory's mission is to use digital technology to enhance the lives of people with disabilities, augment teaching and learning, and communicate and express ideas.

Services Available

Print Products

Media Laboratory can develop print products for dissemination of research/training results or project information/marketing. In addition to large scale printing, Media can laminate large scale conference presentation posters.

Video Conferencing

Video conferencing is supported by Media Laboratory. This technology is used for telemedicine consultations and evaluations, and professional development activities. Media Lab can connect to any site in the United Sates that is compatible with our equipment. By using video conferencing, costly and time consuming travel can be eliminated.

Web Site Design, Development, and Publication

Media Services offers support in design and development services to publish your program or project information on the World Wide Web. Includes design, convert available text, artwork or tables into Web format, generate new documents as necessary and integrate appropriate links to create an effective Web presentation.

Analysis and Design
Media Services staff analyze your requirements and resources to design an effective presentation for the World Wide Web. The latest technologies to present text, graphics, video, and audio into an effective Web presentation are utilized.

Web Accessibility
Media Services provides development for creating accessible Web sites according to the World Wide Web Consortium Web Content Accessibility Guidelines and the Kansas Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.

Technical Support and Maintenance
Many clients require regular updates with the latest news and product or service releases. Once the Web document is on-line, we will add or modify Web pages as required.

Usage Reporting
Statistics of the usage of Web pages can play an important role in addressing information required by funding agencies or stakesholders. Reports of these statistics can be made available for analysis. The information logged at the Web site can include visitor IP address, date-time stamp, page identification, and entry and exit pages, the most popular pages, and the most active viewers.
