Model Education for the Severely Handicapped, 1974-1977: First public school in Kansas serving students with severe disabilities. This project was replicated in three special education cooperatives (Programming Regional Intervention for Difficult to Educate from 1977-1980)

Adult Service Provider Inservice, 1977-1980: Statewide training for community-based vocational programs

Inclusion: First public school in Kansas to serve all students K-8 in their neighborhood schools and general education classrooms

Visual Acuity: First commercially available subjective visual acuity test for students with disabilities followed by a series of Research and Training Grants related to Visual Acuity from 1976 to 2000

Distance Education in Assistive Technology for Speech/Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Early Intervention and Preschool: First Distance Education Program in Kansas

Kansas Assistive Technology Cooperative: Loans money to Kansans with disabilities to purchase assistive technology

Assistive Technology for Kansans Project: Statewide project with five regional outreach sites in Oakley, Salina, Wichita, Lawrence, and Parsons
